Mary Ellen Raypole Sept. 4, 1925-Aug. 26, 2013

Mary Ellen Raypole, 87, of Port Clinton, died Monday, Aug. 26, at Otterbein North Shore Jane Baker House, Lakeside.  She was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Toledo, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Hermes) Winke.  

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.    Interment  will follow in Christy Chapel Cemetery, Portage Township.  On line condolences may be shared with the family at


Mary M. Domokos Feb. 21, 1930-Aug. 23, 2013

Mary M. Domokos, 83, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 23, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Burgoon, OH, Feb. 21, 1930, the daughter of Jeremiah M. and Dorothy (LeFever) Cooley.  

Visitation was Monday, Aug. 26, in the Gerner-Wolf- Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton.  Funeral services were, Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the funeral home.  Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting

John Wamsley, 66, of Port Clinton, passed away early Monday morning, Aug. 19, surrounded by his family. He was born in West Virginia on Oct. 13, 1946, the son of Thelma (Logan) and Ezra Monroe Wamsley Sr.

Gerald Hansen May 15, 1938-Aug. 14, 2013

Gerald M. “Jerry” Hansen,  of Marblehead, and Fort Myers Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Marblehead on Wednesday, Aug. 14. He was born on May 15, 1938. 

Visitation was be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from noon until 4 p.m. at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead. Immediately following visitation, family and friends were invited over to Betty’s house in Marblehead for a celebration of Jerry’s life and gathering. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date in Clemons Cemetery in Marblehead, where he will be buried next to his son.

Roger R. Kinsey Nov. 26, 1938-Aug. 9, 2013

Roger R. Kinsey, 74, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Nov. 26, 1938, in Fremont, the son of Donald and Dora (Reeves) Kinsey. 

Roger was a 1956 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He served in the U. S. Navy and also earned his Journeyman Tool & Die card. On Dec. 24, 1963, in Michigan, he married Catherine Wright and she preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 1989. He worked as a tool & die maker for New Departure/GM in Sandusky, OH for 32 years until his retirement in 1999. Roger was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1610, the Sandusky Eagles Club and the United Auto Workers union. Roger was an arborist who enjoyed collecting trees. He loved to work on anything mechanical, restoring an old 1951 Chevy truck, boat motors and tractors. Roger will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
