Frank W. Harris, 77, of Port Clinton, passed away, Sunday, March 30, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  Frank was born on November 2, 1936 in Forest City, NC, the son of Richard Andrew and Marjorie Alva (Harris) Harris.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Thursday, April 3, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, followed by a memorial service held at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, with a military graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH  44870, on behalf of the Frank Harris family.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.

Deuane D. Davis Jan. 10, 1926-Mar. 26, 2014

Deuane D. Davis, 88, who resided at the Ohio Veterans Home and formerly of Lakeside and Findlay, passed away, Wednesday, March 26, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.  Deuane was born on January 10, 1926 in Shadyside, OH, the son of Thomas J. and Martha (Hellyer) Davis.  

Friends may call from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, followed by a Memorial service at 12 p.m.  Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Deuane may be given to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH  44870.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.

Patricia E. Solomon

Patricia E. Solomon (Stein), age 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 26. She was the beloved wife of the late Assad Emil Solomon, devoted mother of Kelly Brotosky (deceased) and Jeffrey Karp (Kimberly), step-mother of Alexander and Emil Solomon, loving grandmother of Joseph and Hailey Brotosky, Alexandria and Arionna Karp, cherished daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Stein, dear sister of Hank Stein (Carol, deceased), dearest aunt and friend of many.

Pat was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4018, Lake Park, FL where she was Vice President of the Auxiliary for many years. She was also a two-time Snowball Queen of the district. During the summer Pat resided at Catawba Island where she had been a hostess for many restaurants, the last being the Nor Easter Club. 

Visitation and Prayer Services are being held at the Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Saturday, March 29. Cremation will take place by Busch Crematory.

Margaret “Peggy” DeLeon July 3, 1942-March 20, 2014

Margaret “Peggy” DeLeon, 71, of Port Clinton, passed away, Thursday, March 20, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, after a courageous struggle. She was surrounded by her loving family.  Peggy was born on July 3, 1942 in Marblehead, the daughter of Morris Lee and Marjorie (Baker) Smith.  On December 30, 2003 in Port Clinton, she married Erasmo DeLeon and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2013.  She enjoyed bingo, camping and fishing.  Peggy will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Survivors include: Daughters: Tammy Robinson and Theresa (Edward) Spitler; Sons: Timothy (Jacqueline) Gonzalez and Thomas (Christy) Gonzalez; Step-Children: Eddie (Belia) DeLeon, Javier (Joyce) DeLeon and Melissa (Mark) French; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews; Sister: Mary (Jose) Andeverde.   Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Dave & Lee Smith; sisters: Marjorie, Diane & Rosie.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 24, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton.  Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 25 in the funeral home.  Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.  Memorial donations in memory of Peggy may be given to Heartland Hospice or the Port Clinton Lion’s Club.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kozak of Marblehead and Mr. George Puckett of Monroe, MI, announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Scott, to Richard Burbey, son of Mrs. June Burbey.

The future bride is a student at Owens College and is an employee at Chrysler. The future groom is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army and also attends Owens for his bachelors in Business Management.

The couple will be joined in marriage on March 29 in Bowling Green.

Debra Ann (Milefchik) Mathews, 62, of Oak Harbor died Monday, March 17, at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN.  She was born on June 5, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Arnold J. and Ardeth A. (Farr) Milefchik, and they survive.

A gathering of family and friends will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, March 27, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton. Funeral mass will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Debra may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Lupus Foundation of America.
