Walleye fishing is about the same as it has been for the past few weeks, with scattered pods of fish moving from area to area as the water warms, but there is good news. The weather is improving and it’s making the time on the water fishing for the elusive beasts much more enjoyable. You can keep the long underwear in the dresser, and heavy layers of clothing at home. It’s time to start thinking shorts and flip flops. Finally!
It’s been an up and down spring with the warm temperatures taking their sweet time getting here, but they just might be here to stay now. Water temperatures are reaching the high 50’s to the low 60’s now, so it doesn’t feel like a refrigerator out there when the wind blows.
