Lois M. Ceccoli Nov. 22, 1924-June 17, 2014

Lois M. Ceccoli, 89, of Lakeside-Marblehead, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 17, at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.  Lois was born on November 22, 1924 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Emery W. and Goldie (Floro) Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.  Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.  Memorial donations in memory of Lois may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, assisted the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.

David C. Sorg Jan. 11, 1926-June 15, 2014

David C Sorg, 88, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 15, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.  He was born January 11, 1926 in Oak Harbor, the son of H.A. and Florence G. (Leaser) Sorg.

Friends may call 1 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at the Port Clinton Elks Lodge, 231 Buckeye Blvd, Port Clinton.  At 2 p.m., there will be an Elks Memorial Service, a time of sharing memories, followed by military honors by the Port Clinton VFW Homer D. Mary Couture "Lea" Debien Jan. 21, 1927-June 15, 2014

Mary Agnes “Lea” Debien died on June 15, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center after a lengthy battle with vascular dementia.  She was born on January 21, 1927, in Toledo, to Clarence and Ursula (Velliquette) Couture.  When she was born, her parents named her Lila Lu, but because Lila Lu was not a saint’s name, the baptizing priest changed her name to Mary Agnes.  Though as a child she was called Mary, she adopted the nickname Lea as a teenager, and she was called Lea throughout her adult life.  She married Raymond Debien, Jr., of Port Clinton on February 18, 1947, in Bono, Ohio.

She is survived by daughter Peggy and son Joe of Port Clinton, daughter Diane (Jerry) Bristow of Aurora, CO, daughter-in-law Suzanne (David) Debien of Houston TX;  grandchildren Jacqueline (Steve) Leamer of Queens, NY; James (Jeanne) Bristow of La Jolla, CA; Weston ( Janet) Bristow of Silver Spring, MD; Amy Bristow of Aurora, CO;  Megan (Matt) Houde of Fayetteville, NC; great grandson Bennett Leamer of Queens, NY; great granddaughter Braelynn Houde to be born in September; sister Geraldine (Karl) Christoph of San Diego, CA; and brothers Clarence of Kettering, OH; and Donald (Elaine) of Scottsdale, AZ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her son, David.

Jean Williams, 87, of Catawba Island, passed away, Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Palmetto, Florida.  Jean was born on June 27, 1926 in South Haven, MI.

A Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28, at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton East Rd., Port Clinton, OH  43452.
