Ribbon cutting Thursday at Thirsty Pirate

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Thirsty Pirate Taphouse and Grille at 2940 E. Harbor Road (corner of Ohio 163 and 53). A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at noon Thursday, Aug. 16.  Light refreshments will be served.
“Since our opening on July 23, response from the Port Clinton and surrounding communities has been overwhelming,” said Mike Sjostrom, owner of The Thirsty Pirate Taphouse and Grille. “We are excited to be part of the community and to be able to provide a place people can enjoy freshly prepared meals and a cool, refreshing craft beer. We have been blessed with more and more patrons each day. It’s been fun and challenging at the same time. Every day we learn more about what our guests want and how we can better accommodate them.”
The Thirsty Pirate concept is casual dining in a fun atmosphere. With 32 beers on tap, there is a wide range of variety, from light-bodied lagers to full-bodied porters, any beer lover is sure to find a beer to please their palate.

Grand opening planned for Hand in Hand Nail Design

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the grand opening of Hand in Hand Nail Design located at 1848 E. Perry St. in the Sutton Center.  The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at noon Wednesday, Aug. 22. Light refreshments will be served.

Soar to Appetite for the Arts

Painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelry designers, live demonstrations, antique cars and airplanes will be set up in the newly opened Liberty Aviation Museum for Appetite for the Arts. Appetite for the Arts is an entire weekend filled with discovery and adventure with the arts at the Liberty Aviation Museum, 3515 E. State Road, Port Clinton. Friday night’s event is sold out but the event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.
