Beach Clean-up

The City of Port Clinton, the Port Clinton Recreation Department and the OSS Solid Waste District would like to thank all residents who participated in the Port Clinton Beach & Lakeview Park Clean-up on Saturday, April 20.  Thirty-eight volunteers consisting of Ottawa County residents, civic group and youth group members helped pick up 2.86 tons of litter and debris.  Materials picked up from the beach and park areas included items such as trash, drift wood and fallen branches.

The City of Port Clinton Mayor Vincent P. Leone is grateful to everyone who volunteered for the event.

“It is always great to see citizen involvement in helping to keep our City clean and I would like to thank each and everyone.  I offer a special thanks to Kiwanis for the donation of picnic tables,” said Mayor Leone.

Thank you to all volunteers for their time, services and efforts in helping to keep the Port Clinton City Beach and Lakeview Park clean.  We would also like to thank Republic Services for donating a dumpster and hauling away trash collected during the event.
