Hall of Fame applications now being accepted

Nomination deadline for the Alumni/Academic Hall of Fame at Port Clinton High School is drawing near.  

Nominations for induction into the Port Clinton High School Academic Hall of Fame must be received by Jan. 31, 2014. Candidates for the Academic Hall of Fame must meet the following criteria:  Must have been a student in the Port Clinton City School System for six years, two of which must have been at the high school level, or have attended Port Clinton High School all four years, unless early graduation occasioned by academic excellence; candidate must be at least (30) years of age; candidate must have achieved local, state or nationally recognition in his/her field of endeavor, made significant contribution to his/her fellow man or performed meritorious service to our country; and candidate must be of excellent character.

Hope Thorbahn to attend Notre Dame College in Euclid

Port Clinton High School Senior Hope Thorbahn signed her letter of intent on Friday to continue her education and basketball career at DII Notre Dame College in Euclid, Ohio. Community Christmas celebration in downtown Port Clinton

Main Street Port Clinton’s Downtown Promotion Committee is organizing our annual Community Christmas event for Saturday, Dec. 7.  This year is extra special since the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council has teamed up with Main Street to host a Christkindl Markt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of US Bank located at 142 E. Second Street. Warm beverages, food, holiday music, arts, and holiday gifts will be found in abundance.
