PC boys fall to Clyde, 62-27

Clyde controlled the game throughout, taking an early 10-point lead in the first half on its way to a 62-27 win over Port Clinton last Friday.

Nathan Stubblefield and Stefan Daniels had eight points apiece to lead the Redskins, who are now 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the Sandusky Bay Conference. 

The Fliers (4-0, 3-0 SBC), which led 32-11 after three quarters, got a combined 40 points from Dristen Cook, Colin Rieman, Derek Gray and Alex Marshall.


Memorial Hospital celebrates first baby of 2014

Ericka and Adam Bledsoe of Port Clinton celebrated the birth of their first child on January 1 at Memorial Hospital.

Isaias Felix Bledsoe was born at 4:09 a.m. on Jan. 1. He was the first baby born in the Memorial Hospital Obstetrics Department in 2014. Felix weighed 5 pounds and was 19.5 inches long at birth.

Memorial Hospital's OB department provides family-centered birthing in a safe and comfortable environment. During 2013, the OB department was renovated to increase patient and family comfort. The department is staffed by specially trained nurses, including childbirth educators and certified lactation consultants. In 2013, more than 280 babies were delivered at Memorial Hospital.
