Art Walk: A Night Downtown

Thursday, Aug. 22, the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council put on its monthly art walk in downtown Port Clinton. This month’s theme was A Night Downtown. The streets and shops were busy with art lovers and vendors.

Skype with author Robert Putnam at Ida Rupp on Tuesday

Dr. Robert Putnam, PhD., former local graduate of PCHS and author of New York Times bestseller Bowling Alone, will Skype with a local panel of residents on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton.  Question and answer session to follow.  Registration is required.  Seating is limited.  Call 419-732-3212 to register.

New precinct and polling locations in Port Clinton

The Ottawa County Board of Elections will soon be mailing out yellow postcards to residents in Port Clinton Precinct 1B, Precinct 2B, Precinct 3B and, Precinct 4B, informing voters of new precinct assignments and new polling locations. These changes will take effect immediately, and impact not only the upcoming election on Nov. 5, but all future elections until further notice.
