Magruder Hospital Offers Cardio Exercise Class

Magruder Hospital will be offering a Cardio Exercise Class in the Conference Center on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. from September 8 through October 27.  The cost is $4 per class and participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.  The classes are being taught by licensed instructor, Laura Tyson.  The class will consist of a variety of cardio exercises for different levels.

Port Clinton City Council looking to fill council seat

Ron Aukerman of Ward 1 has resigned and now there is an empty seat on the council. The seat must be filled by a democrat since that was Aukerman’s registered party.

Those interested must send their resume to Ottawa County Democratic Party, Attn: Adrienne Hines, 4265 E. Laurel Ridge Drive, Port Clinton, OH, 43452. Those interested must reside in Ward 1.

The deadline to receive applications is September 12.


Shorty’s houses historic memorabilia and more

On 228 Buckeye Blvd. in Port Clinton sits a resale shop of historic magnitude. Shorty’s Resale Warehouse not only buys, sells and trades items, but they hold important pieces of Port Clinton history. One of Curt “Shorty” Frabott’s, owner, prized possessions is an Aunt Jemima griddle that was used by Bob Underwood at Port Clinton’s famed Underwood’s Diner.
