Redskin bowlers second at Tiffin tournament

Both the Redskin boys and girls varsity bowling teams finished second at the Tiffin Tournament at heritage Recreation Center in Tiffin Saturday, Feb. 8.

The boys were the leading qualifier with a 3676 total for three team games and five baker games. They defeated Tiffin Columbian in the semi final Baker match then lost to tournament champion Woodmore in the Finals 2-0, losing 190-188 and 177-176. 

Darryl Trent and Caleb Conrad made the All Tournament Team with their series of 601 and 584 respectively. Trent rolled games of 225-179- 197 and Conrad 207-175-202. Kordell Blankenship rolled games of 230-195.

The Lady Redskins qualified third with a total of 3118 behind Rossford and Eastwood. They defeated Eastwood two baker games to one in the semi finals, but lost to Willard 2-1 in the championship match.

Ki Jadwisiak: An Immigrant Family History

On Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton, Casimir “Ki” Jadwisiak will share his family’s story and hold a book signing of his newly published book, “An Immigrant Family History”.

Casimir ''Ki'' Jadwisiak, lifetime area resident, recounts in over 50 emails to his relatives and friends, experiences and adventures of his 87 years in his newly published book, 'An Immigrant Family History’.

It all began with storytelling to his children usually at the dinner table where he told and retold stories of his youth. Following these stories, his children would often say, ''Gee Dad, I wish you would write that down.''
