Waldo Pepper’s announces Nathan Gonyer as Executive Chef

Mike Miller, owner of Waldo Pepper’s, is proud to announce Nathan Gonyer as Executive Chef as of Dec, 9. Waldo Pepper’s has served the area for over four years, developing a reputation of great food all year round. Miller says that Gonyer will “expand upon our traditional favorites and make Waldo Pepper’s ‘the place to dine’.”

As a formally trained chef, Gonyer has worked with some of the top chefs in the world and has learned to mix old school and new school cooking to make his food flavorful and eye appealing. He has served as Sous Chef at both the Las Vegas Palace Station and the Las Vegas Palms Hotel.

The evolution of Evolved

Hairstylist and Owner Lori Hornung

Lori Hornung and husband Richard have completely renovated 2108 East Harbor Rd. and have created Evolved Salon Studios. In an innovative business technique, Lori has created mini, individual salons within Evolved; Lori is the landlord and the stylists are the tenants. There are three stylist rooms and two nail rooms with handicap accessible rooms available. All stylists work their own hours and are able to set their own prices.

Vote for Your Favorite Tree in Gift of Lights

Local businesses and organizations are competing to win the 2013 Gift of Lights for the best-decorated tree.  Christmas Trees located at Adams Street Park in downtown historic Port Clinton.  The proceeds from the 2013 Gift of Lights goes to the Oak House as selected by the 2012 winner (Port Clinton Artists Club).  The donations will determine this year’s winner.
