• A daughter was born to Katherine and Tyson Smith, of Port Clinton, on May 30 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
• A son was born to Kymberli Steward and Cody Livas, both of Port Clinton, on June 1 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

• A baby girl was born June 5 at Firelands Regional Medical Center to Heidi and Mark Osborne, of Marblehead.
• A baby boy was born June 11 at Firelands Regional Medical Center to Stacey and Todd Johannsen, of Marblehead.

Relay For Life starts Friday

This is the big weekend! The Ottawa County Relay for Life begins at 6 p.m. Friday, June 8 , and lasts until noon Saturday, June 9. So much is planned for those 18 exciting hours at the Oak Harbor High School Athletic Field.  
With a Disney-themed — “When You Wish Upon A Cure” — the planning committee created themed laps along with some traditional favorites for the 18 registered teams. All survivors are invited to the Dessert Reception in the Auxiliary gym from 4:30 to 4:45 p.m. T-shirts and goodie bags will be available here also.

Register for Chamber’s Classic Car Show

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 19th annual Classic Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in downtown Port Clinton. The Jerry Lippus Memorial Car Show is named in honor of Jerry Lippus, “Mr. Downtown,” who organized the event before passing away in November 2007 from cancer.
Cars, trucks and bikes from virtually every era and every make will be on display on Madison Street. Proud owners will be polishing their vehicles and waxing eloquently about the history and renovations of their unique vehicles.  A DJ will be playing your favorites from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A 50/50 drawing will be held every hour beginning at 11 a.m. and door prizes every hour beginning at 11:30 a.m.
