C.O.R.D. Supports the Lighthouse Conservancy 

Port Clinton is a maritime community built on the Great Lake Erie some 200 hundred years ago. It is Lake Erie that brought the settlers here and it is the Great Lake that keeps most of us here. Most of us were born and raised here and will always live here. Maybe some of us have become accustomed to all that, but the small group of dedicated men and women in the Lighthouse Conservancy have not. They strive to honor our heritage.


Tenth annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival

Over Labor Day weekend The Knights of Columbus hosted the tenth annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival. This is the seventh year that the Knights of Columbus have sponsored the event, the first three years Main Street Port Clinton hosted the event. This year, close to 3000 people from near and far attended the event.


PC Mayor visits Coffee with the Editor

On Wednesday, August 27, Port Clinton Mayor Vince Leone came to address questions from area residents at The Beacon’s weekly Coffee with the Editor. Port Clinton Police Chief Rob Hickman, Main Street Port Clinton members, downtown business owners and Marblehead, Catawba and Port Clinton residents also attended the open town hall forum.
