The Book Exchange holding coloring contest

The Book Exchange, located on 136 Madison Street, is holding a Halloween coloring contest. There will be three age groups in the contest: 0-3 years, 4-6 years and 7-10 years. Pages can be picked up at The Book Exchange all week, but the deadline for submission is 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, right at the start of downtown trick or treat.

Prizes and gift certificates will be presented to winners of the contest. Winners will be notified via phone. For more information contact Tom at The Book Exchange at 419-734-4590.

Croghan Colonial Bank breaks ground in Port Clinton

The Croghan Colonial Bank had an official ground breaking at its 226 East Perry Street, Port Clinton property. Croghan purchased the property in March 2013 with the anticipation of growing its presence in Ottawa County. “Croghan Colonial Bank has a real dedication to Ottawa County,” said Rick Robertson, President and CEO of Croghan Colonial Bank. “With branches in Port Clinton-Catawba, Oak Harbor, Curtice and soon in Downtown Port Clinton; I don’t think there is a financial institution that covers more ground in Ottawa County than we do. Port Clinton High School National Honor Society collected trash this past Sunday, October 12, as part of their semi-annual Adopt-a-Road campaign.
