EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor has returned to Port Clinton

EAA Tin Goose Chapter 1247 invites you to step back in time and experience the Golden Age of aviation when they host rides in a beautifully restored 1929 Ford Tri-Motor this July 1-6. Rides will depart from the Liberty Aviation Museum complex, 3515 E. State Road, Port Clinton. 

Tri-Motor rides will be available July 1 from 1-5 p.m. and July 2-6 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Adult ticket prices are $70 in advance ($75 at event) and $50 for children. Advance tickets may be purchased via EAA’s secure web site www.flytheford.org or by calling 1-877-952-5395. Walk-in tickets will be available at the event.

Port Clinton Area Fourth of July

This year the Port Clinton Area is celebrating baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and classic cars over the Fourth of July holiday. 

Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run

The day starts with the Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run/Walk 5k. Registration for the run starts at 8 a.m. at the Jefferson Street Pavilion. The run/walk starts at 9 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to line the race route with squirt guns to squirt runners. Pre-registration is $20 for the race and $25 the day of. Liberty Aviation Museum to host Final Reunion

70 Years ago young men from “America’s Greatest Generation” strapped themselves into aircraft and fought and died for principles they believed in. These men, who were often too young to vote or legally drink, are now in their late 80’s and 90’s. The time to hear their incredible stories and to say thank you is running out.
