Local Art Graces Visitor Center

Visitors and locals will have the opportunity to view the Splendor of Lake Erie at a special exhibit at the Lake Erie Shores & Islands Welcome Center West.   The exhibit features  a variety of lake art from local artists Celeste Mycoskie, Put-in-Bay; Barbara Radebaugh, Catawba Island; Rosemary Schramm, Port Clinton and Jim Siemer, Columbus and Middle Bass Island, and will run through Labor Day.

Mycoskie, a watercolor artist, spent summers on PIB as a teen and enjoys sketching and painting the island offerings.   Her annual calendar with 12 island views has become a collector’s item.

Radebaugh, a watercolor artist and photographer, paints or photographs unusual scenes from the wonders of nature that surround the beauty that is Lake Erie.  Her macro of a mayfly either thrills people or makes them say “eww!”
