Chemo Crawl Aug 9

The sixth annual Port Clinton Chemo Crawl is being held on Saturday, August 9, from 3-8 p.m. The Chemo Crawl is a bar crawl that benefits The American Cancer Society. The event has raised over $10,000 each year. Participants should meet at The Our Guest Inn and Suites at 220 East Perry Street at or before 3 p.m.

The crawl is $10 and t-shirts can be purchased for $15. These can be purchased at The Our Guest Inn and Suites. Reverse raffle tickets will be sold for $25, but there are only 200 tickets sold so buyers are encouraged to buy early. First prize for the reverse raffle is $1500, second is $750 and third is $250.

City of Port Clinton launches water quality information online

On Thursday, August 7, the City of Port Clinton launched a new service on their website, portclinton.com; water quality information. The information includes Microcystin results in the Ottawa County regional water system, a safety threshold chart which informs residents of water and health advisories, and links to information that pertains to algal blooms.

“We want to be proactive in keeping our citizens informed of the quality of water in our community,” said Port Clinton Mayor Vince Leone.

Port Clinton Artists’ Club Arts in the Park Aug 2 and 3

The Port Clinton Artists’ Club is happy to announce Arts in the Park will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Lakeview Park in Port Clinton.  Exceptional, original art is displayed and sold by nearly 120 artists coming from as far away as Florida.  The show is free and open to the public.  One of the oldest art festivals in Ohio, Arts in the Park continues to bring unique and original art to Ottawa County.
