Main Street Port Clinton announces the first annual Port Clinton Walleye Beer Fest on Thursday, May 23, 7-11p.m, in the Entertainment Tent at the 33rd anniversary of the Walleye Festival.  Over 100+beers from 20 breweries will be available for sampling that evening.  Local restaurant vendors will be pairing food with the beer. There will be live performances by the Last of the Wildmen and the Naked Bacon Band.

Following the success of the past 5 years, the 2013 "DRAW ME IN" children's book program will be offered again for future authors and illustrators. The young authors and illustrators will be supplied with two blank mock-up books, one for practice and one for finished presentation. Each student will also receive a pack of crayons to complete their book. This program is offered to residents or siblings of residents residing in Ottawa County by the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council.

The next program will be on Tuesday, June 18, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton. The classes are available for children in grades 2 – 5. A parent or guardian must be present for this program. Class size is limited to 20.  The finished books are to be delivered to the Real Living Morgan Realty Group, 100 Jefferson Street, Port Clinton, no later than Saturday, July 8.

The Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport in Port Clinton has announced their events calendar for spring-fall 2013. The calendar features a wide range of activities for the general public and for the aviation community:

• Aug. 21: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• Aug. 24-24: Radio-controlled Warbird Fly-In, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Aug. 29-Sept. 1: Tuskegee Airmen Red Tail Event
• Sept. 28: Chili & Cornbread Fly-in Aviation Swap Meet
• Oct. 12: Apple Butter Cooking Fly-In
