Dietitian to speak at The Vineyard on Catawba

The Power of Protein — are there other sources than meat? — will be the topic as Kimberly Leneghan, Clinical Dietitian, Magruder Hospital, talks to residents and the general public at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at The Vineyard on Catawba. She will explain why protein is so important to our maturing population. Kim is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., and got her master's degree at Case Western Reserve University. She had more than 10 years of geriatric nutrition experience before coming to Magruder.

Magruder Hospital offers health screening

Magruder Hospital will offer its monthly Cholesterol (Total/LDL/HDL/Triglycerides), Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening for $16 on the second Thursday of every month starting at 1 p.m. The next screening will be Aug. 9 and appointments can be made by calling 419-734-3131, ext. 3420.
