PCHS National Honor Society highway clean up

Port Clinton High School National Honor Society collected trash this past Sunday, October 12, as part of their semi-annual Adopt-a-Road campaign.

Port Clinton High School Announces Homecoming Court

Port Clinton High School announced the 2014 Homecoming Court.  Freshman Lauren Shaw, Eian Burkholder; Sophomores Victoria Glaze, Adrian Hall; Juniors Bethany Urban, Ben Mueller; Seniors Kiya Brown, Kennedy Gulas, McKenzie Stine, Hannah Weaver, Andrew Cline, Stefan Daniels, Cal Laurel, Keegan Lowe.  The homecoming parade is October 8 at 6:30 p.m. from PCHS to the stadium.  Homecoming Court introductions and crowning of the King and Queen will take place Friday, October 10 during pregame, 6:30 p.m.  For more information visit the school district website at www.pccsd.net.

Edgewood Manor Hosts Therapy Reunion

Pictured is the Edgewood Manor Therapy Team with several of their Homeward Bound Therapy graduates.

The Rehabilitation Team at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center recently hosted a Rehab Reunion to celebrate National Rehabilitation Awareness Month.  The event began with a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Andrew Ward followed by a presentation from Michael Lopez, Facility Rehabilitation Director about upcoming Therapy Gym renovations.    Jason Geretz, Physical Therapist, added to the event by speaking on behalf of the therapy staff.   “It is wonderful to be in the community and see our patients doing so well.  You become part of our family and we thank you for the opportunity to help” said Mr. Geretz.

All of those invited are graduates of Edgewood Manor’s Homeward Bound Program.  The goal of this program is to restore individuals to their highest level of independent functioning through a team approach, education and training.
