Tiffany Colston, who played her final game during her storied career at Port Clinton High School, drives and scores against Bowling Green.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately for the Port Clinton girls basketball team, it happened a little sooner than expected. The Redskins fell, 68-48, to Bowling Green in a Division II Sectional Final last weekend, a difficult end to another fine season that saw Port Clinton finish with an 18-5 record.
Despite trailing just 30-27 at halftime, the ‘Skins saw the Bobcats pull away by outscoring them 25-16 in the third quarter. Bowling Green (13-11) had four players finish in double figures, led by Tyanna Smith, who scored 23. Kendal Glandorff finished with 12 points and Livvy Dill and Hanna Williford had 10 points apiece. Tiffany Colston led Port Clinton with 18 points, Hannah Weaver chipped in with 14 and Emily Ashley finished with eight.
