Port Clinton falls late to St. Mary CC, 44-37

So close, yet so far.

For the third time this season, the Port Clinton Redskins lost a game that they were leading in the second half, falling to St. Mary Central Catholic, 44-37, on Friday at True-Lay Stadium.

PC boys soccer team posts 10th win

On Monday evening the Port Clinton boys soccer team posted their tenth win of the season. The final score was Port Clinton 8, Clyde 1. The goals for PC were supplied by Ben Heminger (1), Nathan Stubblefield (1), Simon Shulz (3), Josh Brown (1), Seth Taylor (1), and Blake Clemons (1). Assists were given by Josh Brown (3), Simon Shulz (2), Carter Rumball (1), and Nathan Stubblefield (1). PC had 14 shots on goal and Clyde had 4. Tytan Rumball had 3 saves in goal and Clyde’s goalie had 6.

Port Clinton’s record is 10-5-0 overall and 6-3-0 in conference play.

Dinner and Silent Auction to benefit: Donna Follman Scholarship Fund

There will be a dinner and silent auction to benefit the Donna Follman Scholarship Fund of the Ottawa County ARC. It will be held Sunday, Oct. 13 at The Elks Lodge, 231 Buckeye Boulevard, Port Clinton. 

The doors will open at 4 p.m.with dinner at 6 p.m. The Naked Bacon Band will be providing entertainment until 8 p.m. The ticket cost is $22.50 per person and includes a buffet dinner and beverages with a cash bar available. The Donna Follman Scholarship Fund assists families in Ottawa County with the cost of the summer enrichment program. This program provides continued summer learning and socialization for children with special needs.
