Guide to Local Activities for Children & Adults Call for Events

In 2006, Port Clinton Recreation Department and Port Clinton City Schools designed the first ever Guide to Local Activities. The guide was so well received by the local community the Guide has expanded thanks to a partnership with Magruder Hospital and the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce. The 2014 Guide is in the works and local agencies are asked to submit their entries for the guide. Submissions must be events for children and adults in the Port Clinton City School District area. The 2014 Guide will feature activities for all ages sponsored by local organizations and businesses as well as Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton City School District, Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, and Port Clinton Recreation Department.

Port Clinton wins first two league games

Playing an inexperienced Margaretta club, Port Clinton took advantage and defeated the Polar Bears in convincing fashion, 65-25, in their first conference game of the season.

The Redskins, who led 35-18 at halftime, controlled the contest throughout. Emily Ashley led the way with 17 points and Tiffany Colston and Hope Thorbahn finished with 16 and 13 points, respectively.

Redskins rally, hold off Rockets late

Despite a poor first quarter that saw them score just four points, the Port Clinton Redskins rallied to defeat their arch-rival Oak Harbor 47-44 on Friday night.

Trailing 19-16 at halftime, Port Clinton (3-0, 1-0 SBC) took control of the game by outscoring the Rockets (1-2, 0-1 SBC) 23-8 in the third quarter to take a 39-27 lead heading into the final period. Stefan Daniels and Tytan Rumball led the way, scoring 18 of the team’s 23 points in the quarter.
