| 4th of July Contest Open to Young Ottawa County Cuties |

This year’s Port Clinton July 4th Celebration will feature a Little Miss or Mr. Firecracker Cutie Contest which is open to any young resident of Ottawa County. The six age groups include: 0-7 months, 8-15 months, 16-23 months, 2-3 years, 4-5 years and 6-7 years of age. The contest will be held July 4th at 6 p.m. at Water Works Park at the skate board park. Children should dress in red, white and blue since they will be judged in this category. Trophies will be awarded for all first place winners in each category. Second and third place winners will receive a ribbon. All participants are invited to be a part of the July 4th parade starting at 3 p.m. Those who wish to do so must be at the Port Clinton High School no later than 2:30 p.m. with a parent or guardian who must accompany them in the parade which will also be judged. Application forms may be picked up at the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce, 110 Madison Street, Port Clinton. Returned forms need to include a picture of the child and the sponsor’s name. Forms need to be returned to Judy Smith, 935 S. Limestahl Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 or Barb Phillabaum, 121 Walnut Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 by July 1. There is a $10 sponsorship fee for all contestants. Checks should be made payable to Port Clinton July 4th Celebration.
