Playmakers Receives Awards for Excellence
Playmakers Civic Theatre has been invited to showcase an excerpt from their recent production of the musical comedy “Don’t Hug Me” at the Ohio Community Theatre Association State Conference in Cincinnati, OH, this Labor Day weekend.  Playmakers was among eight theaters in their region to present an excerpt from their past season at the Northwest Regional OctaFest, June 13-14 at Fort Jennings High School in Fort Jennings, OH.
Playmakers received awards for excellence in ensemble, directing, choreography, and creation of an environment (winter in Northern Minnesota).  Excellence in Acting was awarded to Jeff Bugbee, Jaclyn Kromer, Matt Parker and Rich Reidmier.  Merit in Acting was awarded to Monette Garn.  The environment (set) was created by Dale Jenson and crew. Music and sound was executed by Robert Bell.  “Don’t Hug Me” was directed by Brenda Bou Sliman, assisted by Matt Parker.
