| Oklahoma coming to Port Clinton High School |
| The Port Clinton High School Drama Club will present its spring musical Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 19-20, at the Port Clinton High School Performing Arts Center. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standards and established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today.

| Trio taking the stage Sunday |
The Musical Arts Series at Firelands presents Quelque Chose at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Firelands Presbyterian Church, East Harbor Road, Port Clinton. Quelque Chose, a trio of piano, violin and horn, will perform selections by Johannes Brahms, Johann Friedrich Nisle and William Grant Still. Pianist Greg Kostraba, well-known former Classical Music host of WGTE-FM, leads the trio. Kostraba earned semi-finalist status at the Fourth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs with a performance described as “mesmerizing.” He holds master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, has performed solo piano and chamber music throughout the Midwest in university and museum settings, and has been heard nationwide on National Public Radio’s Performance Today.

| African Safari Wildlife Park now open |
PORT CLINTON —African Safari Wildlife Park is open for the season. The 100-acre preserve has many different species of wildlife on exhibit — many of which are active and playful in the cold weather. Visitors are guaranteed to see elk at the Wildlife Park, along with deer, bison, zebra and much more.

| Step back in time at Historical Society brunch |
| The Ottawa County Historical Society’s annual Spring Membership Meeting 2010 will be at noon Sunday, March 21, at the Island House in Port Clinton. The brunch will feature The Black Swamp Doctor.
