|
Heritage Ohio, a statewide preservation and revitalization non-profit organization, is pleased to announce Main Street Port Clinton as a participant in the Retail is Detail technical assistance program. Heritage Ohio is the recipient of a $99,000 USDA: Rural Business Enterprise Grant. The grant will be used to bring the Retail is Detail program to Cambridge, Defiance, Greenville, Norwalk, Port Clinton, Portsmouth, Van Wert and Wilmington. Deb Miller of Blue Pencil and Chris Boring of Boulevard Strategies are partnering with Heritage Ohio to bring their retail expertise to downtown businesses located in eight Main Street communities. Miller and Boring will work hand and hand with five businesses owners within the Main Street Program boundaries providing technical assistance. They will be addressing business issues including marketing, window displays, floor layout, e-commerce, operations, façade and signage, parking landscaping, merchandising, inventory, lighting, pricing, and customer service. Downtown business owners interested in participating should contact Laura Schlachter at Main Street Port Clinton. Heritage Ohio helps people to save the places that matter; build community and live better. Formed in 2000, Heritage Ohio has more than 500 members ranging from individuals and households to organizations and local governments.
