The Immaculate Conception kindergarten students going through training in the same way Santa’s reindeer must be doing this time of year.

Mrs. Jane Drusbacky’s 5th Grade walked a few short blocks down the streets of Port Clinton to take a much larger trip back in time.

Sara Horne from the West End Conestoga Group of United Way has rounded up Mayor Vincent Leone, Police Chief Hickman and Lee Horne to walk the West Third, McKinley and Michigan streets to deliver toys on December 23.

Jonathon Brown of Port Clinton High School was named to the national All-Region IV Soccer Team for his efforts during the past season.

Because the Christian faith offers light and hope in the darkness, Firelands Presbyterian Church is hosting an ecumenical “Service of the Longest Night” on the winter solstice (the longest night of the calendar year), Friday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

EHOVE students are often involved in community service throughout the year.  On Dec. 5 EHOVE students organized a bloodmobile event and donated their blood to the American Red Cross, totaling 120 pints.

Danbury freshman Connor Lenthe launched a long jump shot against Bettsville's defense last Saturday night.  The Lakers were victorious, 64-24.

For the third year Coffee Express of Port Clinton has been sponsoring the Mimi Campbell Christmas Program to provide Port Clinton families with a better Christmas.

Last Friday evening, after the tragic shootings in Connecticut, a group of nearly 100 gathered at The Compassionate Friends of Ottawa County’s Children’s Memorial in Lakeview Park for a candle-light observance.
