Recently the Oak Harbor cheerleading squad competed at the Nancy Leaser Cheerleading Invitational, finishing in second place in the small varsity competition. On top of that, senior Taylor Blatt finished second in the individual competition, an impressive feat.

Port Clinton’s Varsity Girls Bowlers bowled over both Fostoria and Lakota in a tri match Saturday at Harbor Lanes to begin the season 2-0.
The Lady Redskins rolled games of 749-677 and added 670 in Baker to total 2096. Lakota rolled 1943 and Fostoria 1513.

In their season opener, the Port Clinton boys fell, 54-36, to Tiffin Columbian in non-conference action.

The Port Clinton girls basketball team, after going 13-8 last season, is off to a good start, having won its first four games.

Magruder Hospital will offer its monthly Cholesterol (Total/LDL/HDL/Triglycerides), Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening for $16 on the 2nd Thursday of every month starting at 1pm. 

The area office of the Home Instead Senior Care® network, the world’s largest provider of non-medical in-home care and companionship services for older adults, has joined several local agencies, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart and Cuttin Loose at Lori Jo’s and Todd Puckett Agent-State Farm  to provide gifts and companionship to seniors who otherwise might not receive either this holiday season.

The 73rd Annual Christmas Choir Concert will be presented at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa Street, Oak Harbor, on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m.

Socrates visited Port Clinton Middle School on Friday, Nov.30. Apparently, he’s a good friend of Mr. Kyle Kunard, PCMS Science teacher.
