Aukerman named Director of Youth Sports

At the Monday, July 7, Port Clinton City Schools Board of Education meeting, Mr. Ron Aukerman was approved for the newly created position of Director of Youth Sports. Mr. Aukerman will be responsible for coordinating athletic activities for grades 3-6.

“I am grateful to Mr. Adkins and the school board for allowing us to create this extra-curricular position. I felt like we needed to introduce our students to the various sports we have available at the high school at a much younger age. Ron will be working closely with all of our head coaches as we implement a more formal athletic program and instruction in grades 3-6. Coach Aukerman has many years of coaching experience in various sports and is the ideal person to get this program off the ground,” said Port Clinton City Schools Athletic Director Rick Dominick.

Ron Aukerman is also the Industrial Technology/STEM teacher at Port Clinton Middle School.
