OH boys defeat Lakota at Fifth-Third Field

Oak Harbor got off to a fast start, scoring four runs in the first two innings on its way to defeating Lakota, 8-6, at Fifth-Third Field on Saturday.

Andy Rathbun led the way by going 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI, two runs and three stolen bases. Mark Konieczny had an RBI and scored twice and Garrett Harvey had two hits and drove in a run.

Danbury takes two from Bettsville

Sam Puckett got the victory in both games to help the Lakers improve to 2-6 on the season. 

In the first game, Danbury broke open a 1-0 game with eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 9-0 lead. In the second contest, the Lakers broke a 4-4 tie with five runs in the third innings. Kylah Mitchell had a home run and AllisaRae Barree had two hits and drove in a run.

Danbury defeats Old Fort at Fifth-Third Field

Behind a fine pitching performance from starter Chase Botson, the Danbury Lakers defeated Old Fort, 11-0, in five innings at Fifth-Third Field.

Botson gave up just two hits and struck out six batters in five innings. He also did well at the plate, getting on base three times, stealing two bases and scoring twice. 

Mike Stys went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs, Zack Kalinoski was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Taylon Molnar went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Port Clinton Volleyball Camp is June 12-14

Port Clinton High School Volleyball Coaching Staff and high school players will host a Volleyball Camp in the PCHS Gymnasium on June 12-14. Camp times are 9-11 a.m. for grades 3, 4 and 5; 11:30am–1:30 p.m. for grades 6, 7 & 8.   Campers will partake in various drills and games to help shape their volleyball skills and techniques; cost is $30 per player.
