Port Clinton graduate and Davenport bowler Sean Black added another impressive tournament to add to his resume this past week finishing 3rd in the 2nd Annual MJMA Waterford Open. Black was able to qualify 7th on the first day with scores of 167-161-235-224-206-199-225-181 for a 1598 total. "I was not very sharp on my spares Saturday which cost me close to 100 pins and could have made a huge difference in my ability to score. I was able to make up for this by being able to throw good first balls and manage the pocket with a lot of strikes. I got off to another shaky start but dug down in myself and grounded out what I could."
The Lady Redskins tennis team defeated St. Mary's, 4-1, on Monday afternoon. This brings their record to 11-3 (6-2 in SBC).
Monday night the Port Clinton boys soccer team played at Edison High School. The final score was Port Clinton 4, Edison 1.
Edison went up first, then Port Clinton scored in the first half to tie it up. In the second half Port Clinton scored three more times. The goals were scored by Alec Ochs (1), Simon Shulz (1) and Nathan Stubblefield (2). The assists were provided by Simon Shulz (1) and Josh Brown (1). Port Clinton had six shots on goal and Edison had two. Tytan Rumball had one save in goal.
Port Clinton’s record is 8-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in conference play.
