PCHS students qualify for Region Orchestra

Two Port Clinton High School Orchestra students were selected to represent PCHS in the OMEA Northwest Region Orchestra. Hannah Kneisley and Gabe DeFreitas auditioned to be part of the group competing with talented musicians from three other OMEA districts. Perrysburg High School hosted the Region Orchestra performance this past Sunday, Nov. 17. Gabe’s audition also earned him a spot in the 2014 OMEA All State Orchestra which will be in held in Columbus early in 2014. PCHS Orchestra is under the direction of Mr. Brian Stitak. Port Clinton High School is the only school in the county to offer orchestra as part of their fine arts education.

Ian Kyle is PCHS Student of the Month

Port Clinton High School recently announced the Student of the Month for October is Ian Kyle. Ian has been involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities during the past four years at PCHS. He is a member of Leadership Council, Touch of Class, and last Spring joined Drama Club with a part in the musical, “Back to the 80’s”. Ian serves as the Treasurer of National Honor Society and the Vice President of International Club. In addition, he has been a four year member of the Redskin Basketball Team, Baseball Team and three years on the Boys Soccer Team.

Port Clinton High School announces Homecoming schedule

Port Clinton High School will celebrate Homecoming the week of September 16-21. Leadership Council has recently announced the schedule of events. The community is invited to help support our Redskin student athletes. Spirit Theme Days for the week are:  Monday - PJ Day; Tuesday- Hipster Day; Wednesday: - Duck Dynasty/Camo Day; Thursday - 80's Day; Friday: Class Color War.
