Rocket girls win eighth straight game

The Rockets jumped out to a 12-point lead after the first quarter and slowly built a lead in their defeat of Huron, 53-24.

Oak Harbor, which is now 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the Sandusky Bay Conference, took a 20-8 lead after the first quarter and pushed the advantage to 31-10 at halftime.

Andrea Cecil had 24 points and Maddy Rathbun, Athena Eli and Allie Kuhn finished with six points apiece.

Jessica Carroll had eight points to lead the Tigers.

Oak Harbor 65, St. Joseph CC 29

The Rockets dominated this one throughout, taking a 19-point lead, 22-3, after one quarter before steadily increasing their lead.

Andrea Cecil led all scorers with 27 points, Emma Barney chipped in with 11 and Athena Eli had nine. 

The Rockets host Clyde on Friday and travel to Luckey to face the Eastwood Eagles in non-conference action on Saturday.
