Despite entering the fourth quarter down by just three points, Oak Harbor was outscored by 16 points on its way to a 55-36 loss to Margaretta on Friday in Sandusky Bay Conference action.
The loss, which drops the Rockets to 3-9 and 0-7 in the league, came as the Polar Bears, holding a 36-33 lead heading into the fourth quarter, outscored Oak Harbor, 19-3, in the final period.
Dylan Bailey led Margaretta with 17 points and Austin Spiecer scored 15.
Tate Haar led the Rockets with seven points and Josh Sarahman and Garrett Harvey finished with six apiece.
The Polar Bears led 13-10 after the first quarter and 25-19 at halftime before Oak Harbor cut the lead to 36-33 after three quarters.
The Rockets have three games this week, two on the road against Lakota (Tuesday) and Port Clinton (Friday) and one at home on Saturday against Edison.
Eastwood 47, Oak Harbor 29
Holding a 16-6 lead at halftime, Eastwood put the game away with a stellar third quarter in its 47-29 victory over the Rockets. The Eagles outscored Oak Harbor, 20-8, in the third.
Eastwood guard Jake Schmeltz had a game-high 19 points, followed by Grant Peters, who finished with 10.
The Rockets got five points from Andre Ramsey and four points apiece from Garrett Harvey, Josh Sarahman and Ben Cochran.
