Local cheer athletes to compete in Orlando Summit

Champion All Stars’ competitive quest has led them to ESPN Zone Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL, May 4th and 5th to compete live via webcast. “The Summit” was created solely for the best cheer teams from across the country. Only 462 teams from 43 divisions will receive bids as they take “The Climb.”

At the Cheer Power competition event in Columbus on March 24th, Champion All Stars Junior 3 team received Grand Champion Title of their division and with this title they received Varsity Jackets, Champion sterling silver rings for all 20 girls and a full paid bid to The Summit with each girl receiving $510 to pay for all competition expenses and boarding.

The Champions All-Stars are from Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, Lorain and Huron counties. The mission of the Castalia-based group is “to stand above and a world apart in developing true professional leaders without sacrificing integrity, character or sportsmanship”.

It takes exceptional skill, stamina and determination for teams to make this climb and only 10% of teams from across the country will make the cuts. Champion Cheer Athletics has been fortunate to have three teams make it.

Follow the team on Facebook or at www.championcheerandtumblecenter.com for updates and results. Team try outs start in a couple of weeks. Call 419 502-0209 for dates and times.
