Port Clinton Boys tennis team took on Norwalk Thursday in a non-conference match. The Truckers bested the Redskin 3-2. This improved Norwalk to 2-0 on the season and dropped Port Clinton to 1-1.

1st Singles: Trevor Bowers (N) def. Matheus Rodgirues (PC) 6-2 6-2
2nd Singles: Harry Love (N) def. Noah Cross (PC) 6-1 6-0
3rd Singles: Max Mercurio (PC) def. Travis Morgan 6-2 6-2
1st Doubles: Matt Fillmore/Jeff Griffin (PC) def. DJ Steffani/Grayson Conney 6-3 7-6(1)
2nd Doubles: Collin Bickerstaff/Reid Schaffer (N) def. Leandro Papa/Ryan Norgard 6-0 6-0
Matheus and Noah lost to some very tough competition as Trevor and Harry are both excellent players with a lot of tennis experience. Max continued his strong play to begin the season with a nice win over Travis. In doubles, Matt and Jeff weathered a big 2nd set comeback by DJ and Grayson and put them away in the tie-breaker. Leandro and Ryan ran into a tough match as Collin and Reid are a very strong 2nd doubles team.
In JV Action, Ellis Adolph and Tristan Auxter lost at first JV Doubles. Steve Kast made his singles debut with a tough loss, as did Avery Dackermann. Joseph Miller and Cameron King also played well in a loss at 2nd Doubles.
