PC’s Black finishes 6th in JTBA tournament
Port Clinton Senior Sean Black finished 6th in the Junior Tournament Bowlers Association Adult/Youth Doubles Tournament in Toledo last Sunday.
Sean bowled games of 206-243-251-205-224-203 (222 average) as Sean and his partner Don Genalo, a 6 time PBA National Champion finished 6th. The duo qualified 14th and advanced to the top 8 after baker games of 258-205. They then fell in the semi-finals after shooting 217-179.
“This is by far the best tournament I have had this season. I felt as good today as I have felt in awhile. My overall game was just outstanding and this is the consistency I have been looking for. Don also had a good tournament and has become a great mentor of mine. We just caught some bad breaks in the semi-finals and just didn't have enough to move on. I am proud of this tournament, especially in cutting down on open frames, and am looking to improve upon it my next time out."
Sean earned $ 258.50 in scholarships.
