Cheyenne Meek named to Scholastic All-American Swim Team

USA Swimming has announced the 2012 recipients of the Scholastic All-American Swim Team award.

Cheyenne Meek, junior at Port Clinton High School, was named to the 2011-2012 team. The award honors elite students that have excelled not only in the pool but also in the classroom.

There are only 460 female swimmers in the U.S. that achieved a 4.0 GPA like Meek, and only 23 girls in Ohio that made the SAA cut. Cheyenne and MacKenzie Stewart, 2012 Port Clinton High School graduate who is continuing her education and swimming at Virginia Tech, gave PCHS two swimmers on the Team. This is an honor for the students, for PCHS coach Danny Diaz and for Port Clinton Schools.
