PCHS to Volley for a Cure

On Tuesday, Sept. 18, the Port Clinton High School volleyball teams will “Volley for a Cure” along with hundreds of volleyball teams across Ohio, to educate and increase awareness about breast cancer.

Fans can order T-shirts for $10 by downloading the order form at www.pccsd.net. Checks can be made out to Port Clinton City Schools, and order forms should be returned to Port Clinton High School no later than Sept. 10. Order forms will also be sent home with Port Clinton City School District students.

Fans wearing their Volley for a Cure T-shirt or pink to the game will be admitted for free.   A bake sale and 50/50 drawing will also take place that evening, with all proceeds benefitting the Susan G. Koman Foundation.

This event is sponsored by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association, the Susan G. Koman Foundation and Molten USA Inc. and dedicated to all men and women who have been touched by breast cancer, with the hope that this devastating disease will one day be cured.

The Lady Redskins will take on Clyde at the Sept. 18 games, beginning with the Freshman game at 4:30 p.m. in the PCHS Gymnasium. The JV then Varsity games will follow.

Ccontact Stephanie Meyer, varsity coach, at 419-765-0312, with any questions.  The community is invited to come and cheer for the Redskin volleyball team and to help fight breast cancer by packing the PCHS stands with pink.
