The Danbury Township Fire Department was formed in July of 2013 from the existing Lakeside and Marblehead Fire Departments. Through the years, both departments have received great support from both the residents and the business communities.
This year, Danbury Township Fire Department continued the tradition of the Lakeside Annual Spaghetti Dinner. The support and attendance of the residents of the community made this year very successful, with over 500 dinners being served.
This year, the Kroger Company in cooperation with its local store in Port Clinton contributed nearly all of the food and paper products. Special thanks to Alan Faust from the Corporate Office in Cincinnati and Robert Sears, manager of the local Port Clinton store who coordinated all of the details with John Starcher. John Starcher has directed the annual spaghetti dinner for several years.
Since the Fire Department is a 501 C3 charitable organization, all funds and revenues received go towards providing quality fire and EMS services to Danbury Twp.
Danbury Township Fire Department would also like to thank Boy Scout Troop #331, who helped with serving dinners and clean up afterwards.
Again, thank you to Kroger, Boy Scout Troop #331, the volunteers and the residents who supported this annual fundraising event.
Secretary Danbury Twp. Fire Dept.
