Doug Johns featured with Terra State Music Program

This fall, music students at Terra State Community College have the unique opportunity to work with nationally renowned performer, composer and musician Doug Johns as he serves as a guest lecturer and artist-in-residence.

A professional bass player, Johns is known for his raw presence, energy and all-around crowd-wowing prowess. He has had the privilege of working with such icons as Victor Wooten, Buddy Miles, Chuck Rainey, The LA Mass Choir, Aaron Lindsey and many others.


Terra State Fall Job Fair Sept. 24

The annual Terra State Community College Fall Job Fair is just a couple of weeks away and now is the time to prepare.

“We encourage any job seekers who plan to attend to update their resumes and prepare a list of questions to ask employers,” said Joan Gamble, Coordinator of Career Services at the college. “And while they’re at it, they should pick out appropriate attire and dress to impress.”

The Job Fair is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the Student Activities Center. It is open to Terra State students, alumni and community members.


Terra State’s Spring Semester Dean’s List

Students receiving academic honors and named to the Dean’s List at Terra State Community College for the spring semester have been announced. These students have met the college requirements for this honor by carrying 12 or more credit hours and achieving a grade point average of at least 3.50.
