Port Clinton High School Power Lifters traveled to their second meet the weekend of Feb. 23 to compete at the South Central Power Lifting Meet. The students work and condition with Coach Phil Fought, in addition to their regular weightlifting workout, at the True Lay Weight Room.

Down nine points in the second half, things weren’t looking so good for Oak Harbor.

But behind a spirited effort from its seniors and a great performance from freshman Andrea Cecil, the Rockets rallied and defeated Perkins in thrilling fashion, 39-38, in the Division II Sectional Semifinals Wednesday night at Sandusky High School.

Trailing, 29-20, midway thru the third quarter, Oak Harbor (16-7) responded by going on a 15-0 run to take control of the contest before holding off a late Pirate (15-8) rally to claim victory.

Behind 19 points from point guard Derek Gray, the Clyde Fliers defeated Port Clinton, 68-47, last Friday.

With the win, the Fliers improved to 12-6 and 7-3 in the SBC while the ‘Skins fell to 3-14 and 3-9 in the league.
