Students receive Merit Scholarships

The University of Findlay announces Merit Scholarship awards, which are based on a student's final, cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) and ACT/SAT scores. Scholarships are awarded beginning with the freshman year and are renewable for up to four years (for a total of five years of scholarship aid). Merit scholarships for transfer students are based on the student's GPA from all previous college-level institutions.

The following local students received awards for the 2014-2015 academic year:

Cobi Brough of Oak Harbor received $10,000.

Melissa Carrick of Sycamore received $14,000.

Emma Partin of Port Clinton received $14,000.
