EHOVE School of Practical Nursing’s Graduation Ceremony was held at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center at the Norwalk High School. The Class speakers, Ryan Montgomery, Sarah Williams and Suzanne James addressed their classmates and over 800 friends and family members who attended.
This was the 22nd full-time class, 10th part-time day class and 14th part time evening class of the EHOVE Adult Career Center School of Practical Nursing, which successfully meets the standards as set by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the EHOVE Board of Education. Successful completion of the nursing program in an approved school entitles the graduate to take examinations administered by the Ohio Board of Nursing to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Students receive their clinical experience at various affiliated facilities located as far east as Lorain, and as far west as Fremont and Green Springs.
Several awards were given. Valedictorian honors for highest class room grade point average went to Full-Time student Sarah Williams of Port Clinton, Part-Time Day Student Michelle Dupuis of Attica and Part-Time Evening student Bonny Thompson of Sandusky. Heather Richards Outstanding Clinician awards were given to Full-Time student Paige Mier of Oak Harbor, Part-Time Day student Ryan Montgomery of Norwalk and Part-Time Evening student, Angel Bastardo of Monroeville.
The National Technical Honor Society award for FT: Sarah Williams of Port Clinton, Heather Welch of Shelby, and Sarah Weatherwax of Sandusky. The recipients are selected by faculty and reviewed by a committee for their scholastic achievement, skill development, leadership, honesty, responsibility and general good character.
