The Port Clinton Schools Board of Education announced Monday morning that they will hire Geoff Halsey as Bataan Intermediate Principal. Former principal Michael Jenkins resigned at the end of the school year to take a position closer to his family.

Patrick Adkins, Superintendent of Schools, said, “We had the opportunity to interview several excellent candidates. We are pleased to welcome Geoff back to our Redskin family.”
Halsey, who has two children that attend Port Clinton City Schools, is very excited to be the Principal at Bataan Memorial Intermediate. He said, “It is great to be returning to the school district where I spent the majority of my teaching career.” Halsey’s wife Cheryl is Fleet 6 teacher at Port Clinton Middle School.
Halsey continued, “As a resident and parent in the Port Clinton City School District, I recognize the importance placed on public education and appreciate the support provided by the community. I am eager to provide my educational experiences and instructional leadership to the children, teachers, parents and district.”
