ICS grows with Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District

Becky Simpson and Jackie Lammers from the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District visited Immaculate Conception School in Port Clinton and gave the school a lesson on being good stewards to our earth. The pair told the students the important role they can play in making our earth a healthy and beautiful place for all just by conserving, recycling and not polluting. Each student received a pine tree sapling to plant at home.

Ms. Simpson and Ms. Lammers told the children that a single tree can provide enough oxygen for about 4 people. There are 20,000 species of trees in the world.
