Alexa Haskin receives state award

Port Clinton High School senior Alexa Haskin was awarded the Robert F. Lucas Lt. Governor Award for her leadership in the Kiwanis Club sponsored Key Club. As a Key Club member, this distinct honor is for those that go above and beyond as a leader in Key Club. Alexa created a newsletter, held monthly meetings, organized a beach cleanup, and worked with fellow Key Club members to help the Humane Society make Christmas ornaments for those less fortunate. She also helped to charter a new Key Club at Tiffin Calvert.

At Port Clinton High School Alexa is involved in the PCHS Band and International Club along with Key Club. As a Key Club Lieutenant Governor, she is one of a ten member board of directors. Her region includes Danbury, Tiffin, Edison, and Clyde. After high school she plans to attend Cleveland State University and has already contacted the university about creating the next level club, Circle K.
