The third grade class at Immaculate Conception School learned the skill of weaving in their art classes last week.

The class studied many countries and how weaving has made an important impact on the cultures since ancient times.  Weaving has impacted art in these cultures, as well as aided in the creation of useful items.  The students studied websites of people around the world weaving rugs and various other items.

The class spent the week picking the colors and weaving a dress for a special “character weaving” of themselves.  This project was under the direction of art teacher Mrs. Joni Hoffman.
